Data analytics & machine learning consulting

See beyond the numbers.

Dashboards and machine learning your team will actually use. I build them with you, then hand them off so the numbers in the room are ones you can stand behind.

Core capabilities

Dashboards and models, built to be used.

I keep the work focused: one trusted picture of the business for every team, and machine learning that starts once the decision — and the owner — are clear.

Dashboards & Visualization

Reports your leaders and your staff can both trust, built on metric definitions everyone has agreed on.

  • KPI dashboards for executives and for the teams doing the daily work
  • A shared definitions guide so finance, HR, and operations use the same numbers
  • Filters, drill-downs, and scheduled reports your team will actually use
  • Documentation and training so your team, or anyone who follows, can maintain the work

Machine Learning

Predictive models built around a real decision, so the results get used instead of sitting unopened.

  • A clearly defined use case with an owner and a measurable result
  • Data pipelines and accuracy testing you can explain to a non-technical audience
  • Predictions delivered inside the reports and tools your team already uses
  • Handoff notes, written assumptions, and a plan for monitoring after launch

Approach

A clear path from question to working system.

You work with me directly. Scope stays tight, check-ins stay frequent, and you can steer the work before it hardens into the wrong system.

  1. 01

    Clarify the decision

We start with the decision you need to make, not with a tool. If the question is still vague, we make it specific before anything gets built.

  2. 02

Assess the data as it stands

I review your data sources, definitions, and gaps. You leave with a clear picture of what you can rely on today, and what to strengthen before a dashboard or a model will hold up.

  3. 03

Build the smallest system that works

Dashboards, metrics, or a focused model, with regular check-ins so you can steer the work. I build in the tools you already own whenever that is the better option, rather than replacing what works.

  4. 04

    Hand off and close cleanly

You get documentation, training, and a system your team owns outright. If you want me to keep maintaining it, I am glad to. If you would rather run it in-house, everything is already documented and ready to pass off.

Ownership

The work is yours, start to finish.

Everything I build is yours from day one — documented well enough to pass to someone else at any time. Ongoing support is available because it is useful, not because you would be stuck without it.

You own the work

Dashboards, models, code, and documentation belong to you from the first day. There is no license to renew and no lock-in — you can take the work in-house whenever you are ready.

Documented as it is built

Documentation is written while the work happens, not assembled at the end. Another analyst could pick up where I left off without a long explanation from me.

Support if you want it

I can maintain your reports and automations on an ongoing basis. You can also bring everything in-house whenever it suits you, because the handoff package stays ready.

Insights

Where this work makes a difference.

These are the situations I help teams resolve most often — from competing reports to models that never make it into daily work.

Operations

One view of a complex organization

When HR, housing, dining, and finance each keep their own spreadsheets, leaders spend meetings working out whose numbers are right. One dashboard built on agreed definitions moves the conversation from comparing reports to making the decision.

Planning

Budget and operations in the same frame

Planning slows down when actual results take several exports to pull together. Connecting the budget to operational data such as staffing, occupancy, and volume lets leaders catch problems weekly instead of at the end of the quarter.

Prediction

Prediction that leads to action

Predictive work starts with the decision it supports, whether that is demand, staffing, or risk. The result is not a file of code. It is a prediction shown where your team already works, with the assumptions written down so someone else can run it again.

About

Gunner Tillemans

Founder & Principal Analyst

I am Assistant Director of Strategic Financial Planning and Integration at Arizona State University. For four years I have built dashboards and analysis that leaders rely on across HR, operations, housing and dining, and other parts of a large organization.

Vantyr Point Analytics brings that same discipline to your organization. I start with the decision you need to make, build the simplest system that answers it, and leave your team with work they own outright — whether they run it themselves or keep me on to maintain it.

Next step

Let's turn the question into a working system.

A short discovery call is enough to map the decision, the data you already have, and a practical first project. Come as you are — we will sort the rest together.
